I hope y’all had a lovely Thanksgiving (if you celebrate) surrounded by your friends and all of your loved ones. I definitely can’t complain.
I was raised a Jehovah’s Witness as a kid, so holidays are fairly new to me. Thanksgiving is one that I find relatively enjoyable if you remove the genocidal undertones and focus instead on the time spent with family.
This year was spent with Mr. Black and Mr. Blue’s family. They’re always SO wonderful to be around, and while I don’t do well in large crowds of people I don’t know, it’s a little easier when it’s the friends and family of people I trust.
We cooked so much incredible food I couldn’t even list it all, but the day was well spent in the kitchen. I made my family recipe greens which Mr. Black requested specifically for his birthday.
I do promise to get better with taking photos and being more available, but this is still a process for me, and I genuinely appreciate the patience as I get it all together.
This is an interesting phase of my life I’m in, and I’m embracing the fear and letting it be fire.
